MIRA Solution
Optimus established new targets for:
- Driver Comfort
- Practicality
- Aerodynamic performance
- Safety
- Space
- Reduced weight
- Ease of manufacture & assembly
- Style
MIRA's styling and engineering design team worked hand-in-hand with our specialists in ergonimics, aerodynamics, safety, vehicle dynamics and NVH to produce a design with many innovative features.
Innovative Features:
- Car-like-drive
- Ergonomic wrap-around cockpit with clear intrumentation
- Class-leading aerodynamic performance
- Practical and comfortable driver environment
- Unique multifunction bunk
Aerodynamics:
From the first sketch, MIRA's styling and engineering design team worked hand-in-hand with our aerodynamicists to deliver a cab with class leading aerodynamic performance. Reduced aerodynamic drag and optimised aerodynamic stability:
- Reduces duel consumption and improves range
- Eliminates the need for costly additional aerodynamic devices
- Reduces wind noise, improving driver comfort
- Facilitates safe, predictable handling in side winds
Customer Benefits:
Optimus offers a vehicle manufacturer a head-start in developing a class leading vehicle. MIRA’s engineering team have ensured the design can offer the features described yet is flexible enough to enable:
