Squeak & Rattle Facility

MIRA use a dedicated single axis electromagnetic shaker, installed in a quiet room. The shaker is acoustically isolated from the test room. This provides the best available pre and post test squeak and rattle assessment of test components.

Team CUBE

MIRA’s Team CUBE is a 6 degree of freedom hydraulic shake table with particularly good road load data reproduction capabilities and easy fixturing. It is installed in a walk in climatic chamber, with humidity control and an IR solar array. Ancillary services include hot water cart for radiators and cold air supply for HVACs.

 

MIRA's miniMAST is a cost effective alternative for ambient testing with 6 degree of freedom vibration

miniMAST

This MIRA built rig offers a cost effective alternative to the Team CUBE for ambient only, 6 degree of freedom vibration testing. It was designed around a payload of 2 occupied car seats.

 

Muffler Rig

A dedicated vibration platform providing vertical and lateral vibration. Designed for truck muffler systems cantilevered from the truck chassis rail, the rig incorporates a diesel burner system to provide exhaust gases for combined vibration and thermal cycling.
