A research project into the impact of ISA technology on driver behaviour is currently underway and is being carried out by MIRA and the Institute of Transport Studies at Leeds University and sponsored by the UK Department for Transport. Further information can be found at http://www.its.leeds.ac.uk/projects/isa/MIRA has designed and built an ISA system which is fitted to a fleet of 20 passenger vehicles for extended road trials within a project being carried out by our partners; the University of Leeds. |

The system was designed to integrate within the selected host vehicle and includes a driver and electrical system interface, which enables comprehensive data logging facilities. The ISA hardware has been fully EMC tested along with independent software validation.ISA is part of a wider investigation of the concept currently being conducted in a number of European countries.
