MIRA's seminar "Developing Components & Systems to Win Business and Reduce Costs" held on 16th June at our Quatro Park site in Basildon brought many of the demands facing our industry into sharp focus. The combination of live demonstrations, exclusive presentations from industry experts and facility tours succeeded in capturing and retaining the attention of delegates.
The seminar benefited from the attendance of representatives from over 50 companies including vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers of Components and systems to the automotive, rail and aerospace industries.

As well as providing solutions and advice the event was very successful at stimulating food for further thought; here is some of the feedback we have received already:
"One could tell a lot of effort as put into this event. It certainly paid off with all coming away with a clearer understanding of the services you offer.
I was particularly interested in your vibration systems and how they were adapted to suit the various items under test. The testers I spoke to knew what they were doing and had an interest in their work.
Eamon Martin in his Key Life speech took us up a level to explain an overall view of what Life Testing was trying to achieve. Then Richard Baker brought us down to earth the essential fundamentals of vibration testing.
Of course the air bag test was a highlight. If that were to go off in my car I would die of shock.
A great day out".
"I found the day very useful, as I am tasked with giving product reliability a higher profile. As a result I will probably contact MIRA sometime within the next few months.
Thanks again for the interesting day"
"Thank you, MIRA on the whole, for a well-organised and interesting open day Wednesday 16th June. Getting back to the office I thought of some questions and recommendations for improvement.
Thanks again for the open day".
