Find out all about MIRA's Virtual Proving Ground at Autosport 2005 |

In conjunction with the MIA, MIRA will be holding a free to attend workshop on:
'The MIRA Virtual Test Track'
At the Autosport International Show, NEC Birmingham on Thursday 13/1/05 at 9:00am in concourse suite 28
Acquiring accurate road load data for use on rig testing or CAE modelling has traditionally required the use of an instrumented vehicle or prototype.
MIRA's vehicle engineering team have developed an innovative and unique solution; the MIRA virtual proving ground (or virtual test track).
|
|
This was achieved by painstakingly scanning MIRA's proving ground surfaces.
Armed with this powerful tool MIRA's engineers are able to use ADAMs, kinematics and mechanisms software, to generate road load data effectively by 'driving' a virtual vehicle over our highly detailed proving ground model. The software is able to generate virtual road load data which correlates excellently with that generated using instrumented prototypes.
This road load data can then be applied to CAE models (virtual test rigs) or conventional whole vehicle and component test rigs, saving you both time and money. |
