With 100 new donors now signed up, the scheme is really making a difference.
Donations at the bloodmobile are not restricted to MIRA staff. MIRA's numerous on-site customers have also made valuable donations. Without this support it would have taken a little longer to break the 500 pint barrier.
With only a few days supply of blood available at any one time, the work of the National Blood Service is ongoing.
Any UK residents encouraged by this news can contact the National Blood Service directly through their website to make a donation, or simply learn more about the work of the NBS.
