Central TV's newsroom approached MIRA this morning, to record a vehicle driving at 159 mph in a safe environment. This followed today's court case involving a Shropshire police officer who allegedly filmed himself on the M54 at a speed of 159 mph.
The footage is taken inside a Noble M400 on one of MIRA's high-speed circuits with Dave Allton, one of MIRA's professionally trained test drivers, at the wheel. |

MIRA has many years experience of designing, developing and testing high performance vehicles safely, a perfect example being when the McLaren F1 broke the high-speed record at MIRA by topping 196.2 mph beating the previous 1967 record held by the Jaguar XJ13.
